BARC has several long-term partnerships with international animal welfare and veterinary organizations, which provide technical assistance, as well as volunteer veterinarians.

The Fondation Brigitte Bardot
The Fondation Brigitte Bardot is a French foundation dedicated to animal protection, created by French actress Brigitte Bardoin 1986. FBB is supporting BARC since 2020 with annual grants in support our animal rescue and animal welfare promotion work.

Foundation AAP
AAP (Animal Advocacy and Protection) is a European animal welfare organization dedicated to the wellbeing of exotic animals such as primates, lions and tigers. Millions of them are kept in poor conditions as pets, are illegally traded or brutally exploited in circuses and other forms of entertainment. This causes unimaginable suffering. AAP rescues animals in need and advocate for better laws and regulations across Europe. BARC and AAP collaborate since 2014 on macaque rescue and a re-integration program.
Bhutan Foundation
The Bhutan Foundation works to serve the people of Bhutan in living and sharing the principle of Gross National Happiness. BF supports efforts to build Bhutanese capacity under the four pillars of Gross National Happiness through training and access to global expertise, new technologies, and resources. BF helps build exceptional international partnerships to achieve sustainable, lasting results in Bhutan. BARC and BF collaborate since 2020.
JSW School of Law
JSW Law, the only Law School of Bhutan strives to set the standards and lead the way in education, research, and good practices in the law and the related fields. BARC and JSW Law collaborate since … on a course of “Environmental Ethics and Animal Welfare Law”, under which BARC’s co-founder Mr Hendrik Visser is Visiting Professor.
